Poetry By Heart

AI images creation

Each year, we’re commissioned by Poetry By Heart to create AI-generated imagery for their annual calendars and posters, distributed to schools across the UK. Each new selection of poems brings its own atmosphere, ambiguity, and emotional undercurrent.

Together, we explore how these poems might exist visually — not as literal interpretations, but as fragments of a mood. The aim is always to preserve a sense of the otherworldly, leaving just enough unsaid for students to form their own mental pictures, rather than prescribing a single way of seeing.

Working closely with the Poetry By Heart team, we shape each image so it remains true to the spirit of the poem. We used a mix of AI tools including Firefly, Kling, Midjourney and Photoshop to create these images.
